We are seeking an Accounts Clerk (Deal Costing) to join our Finance team at Velocity Vehicle Group (VVG). This role offers an opportunity to build hands‑on experience in dealership finance, work closely with operational teams, and contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting across the business.
About the team
Our Finance team supports the dealership network and shared services with accurate reporting, strong controls, and timely support. The deal costing function plays a key role in ensuring vehicle transactions are costed correctly and recorded in line with required processes.
About the role
As an Accounts Clerk, you will be part of a specialist function focused on deal costing, ensuring accuracy and compliance across vehicle transactions. You will work closely with finance colleagues and partner with stakeholders across the business to resolve costing and reconciliation queries.
Key responsibilities
- Calculate and record gross profit on individual vehicle deals by analysing costs, pricing and revenue inputs.
- Maintain accurate financial data within relevant systems, ensuring integrity and compliance.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies across inputs, calculations and reporting.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce errors.
About you
- Qualification in Accounting or Finance (or currently working towards), or equivalent experience in a finance or administration role.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets (particularly Excel) and learning finance systems and processes.
- Clear communicator with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders across the business.
- Reliable, organised and able to manage routine tasks to deadlines.
- A positive, solutions‑focused approach and willingness to learn.
