We are currently seeking a dedicated and physically capable Disability Support Worker to support a mature female participant living in Yarram, Gippsland.
About the Role
This role primarily involves providing in-home supports to a mature female participant who lives with both psychosocial and physical disabilities.
We are looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and understands the importance of promoting independence while maintaining dignity and respect.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is reliable, proactive, and happy to assist with both personal support and maintaining the participant's home and property.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties may include:
- Assisting with domestic household tasks
- Supporting the participant with daily living activities
- Meal preparation and light cleaning
- Carrying firewood and assisting with keeping the home supplied
- Lawn mowing and basic garden maintenance
- Feeding chickens and assisting with simple outdoor property tasks
- Supporting community participation when required
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Maintaining accurate shift notes and documentation
- Working in accordance with the NDIS Practice Standards and CarePro policies
About You
The successful applicant will be:

- Comfortable supporting participants with psychosocial disabilities
- Confident working independently

Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain if required)
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable, fully insured vehicle
- Smartphone with the ability to use rostering and documentation apps
- Full Australian working rights
Desirable
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or equivalent
- Previous experience supporting participants with psychosocial and physical disabilities
- Experience undertaking property maintenance or outdoor manual tasks
- Knowledge of person-centred and trauma-informed support practices
