The opportunity

We are in the market for an experienced and highly organised professional Executive Assistant. You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge.

As the Executive Assistant to the Director Business Services, you will provide high-level confidential executive assistance, administrative and project support across the Business Services Directorate. You will play a key role in supporting the Director and leadership team through diary management, coordination of meetings and governance processes, preparation of agendas and correspondence, research and project work, and liaison with internal and external stakeholders. You will also contribute to the delivery of Directorate initiatives, Council and Committee reporting processes, financial administration activities and continuous improvement opportunities across the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Secretarial or Business or equivalent relevant qualification, or significant relevant experience.
Hold a current unrestricted “C” class national driver’s licence.
At least 5 years’ experience in an administrative role at an executive level or higher.
Working independently with limited supervision.
Previous experience in developing and delivering small projects, programs, or events.
Understanding of the various structures and functions of Local Government (desirable).
