About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to step into a Head Veterinary Nurse, working alongside an experienced Practice Manager that loves to coach, train and mentor. Perfect for someone ready to take the next step in their career or an experienced leader looking for a new challenge.
You’ll remain clinically hands-on, while also gaining valuable experience across leadership, operations, and people management — all supported by an experienced Practice Manager who will mentor and guide you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting the nursing team day-to-day
- Coordinating workflow to ensure smooth and efficient clinic operations
- Supporting vets across anaesthesia, surgery, and patient care
- Maintaining high clinical standards, protocols, and patient outcomes
- Managing rostering and contributing to team performance and engagement
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, and equipment management
- Supporting client experience, including handling feedback and complaints
- Promoting a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture
- Working a rotating roster including 1 in 3 weekends
What We’re Looking For
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
- Confident across all aspects of veterinary nursing, including anaesthesia and surgery
- An interest in leadership, with either proven experience or readiness to step up
- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities
- A genuine passion for patient care and delivering excellent client experiences
- A team-first attitude with the ability to lead by example
