Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced practice nurse for 3-4 weeks at end of June 2026, covering annual leave, then 1 day per week thereafter if desired, with the following attributes:-

The ability to work as part of a team
Strong attention to detail
Using your initiative

To work in this role you will need to have:

Up-to-date certified vaccination training (including COVID vaccination training)
Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Excellent communication skills
A caring approach to patient care
Multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills
Previous Practice Nurse experience preferred
A sense of urgency, compassion and professionalism
Effective communication and documentation skills
Commitment to on-going education and self-directed learning
Demonstrated understanding of nursing codes of practice
Ability to educate patients & family on the management of conditions at home
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Knowledge of and skills in the principles of infection control
Flexibility with availability and rostering to meet the changing needs of patients

Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

Assisting with medical services ie. patient triage, acute illness, health assessments /injury management, care plans etc.
Daily co-ordination of treatment room ie. stock control, sterilization, general maintenance and care of medical instruments and equipment
Chronic disease management- preparation of GPMP's, TCA's, EPC for diabetes, asthma & COPD
Health assessments - Over 75 yrs & ATSI checks etc
Some reception duties when/if required

Job Types: Casual, Part-time
Part-time hours: 10-20 per week

Pay: $32.00 – $40.00 per hour
