The Opportunity
This role is part of Micromine, one of the specialist businesses within Weir Software Solutions. You'll transform complex technical concepts into clear, engaging documentation that supports customers throughout their software journey. Working alongside product and development teams, you'll influence how users experience our products while helping drive documentation excellence across a global software portfolio.
The Impact You'll Have

Develop and maintain release notes, installation guides, configuration manuals, online help systems and user documentation

Ensure a consistent documentation experience across Micromine software products

Collaborate with product managers, developers, testers and support teams to understand product changes and documentation requirements

Translate technical information into accessible, user-friendly content for diverse audiences

Support the development and continuous improvement of documentation processes, standards and delivery plans

Assist in managing documentation and localisation tools

Review existing content to identify gaps, inaccuracies and improvement opportunities
What You Need To Succeed

Proven experience as a Technical Writer, ideally within software, technology or mining technology environments

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly to end users

Experience using technical authoring and content management tools, with MadCap Flare highly regarded
-
Experience working closely with software development teams and understanding the software development lifecycle
-
A degree in Computer Science, Geology, Engineering or a related discipline will be highly regarded
