We are seeking professional and detail-oriented Cargo Screeners to join our team.
Working within a fast-paced aviation and logistics environment, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security and integrity of the supply chain by screening cargo and identifying potential threats before entry into secure areas.

About the Role
As a Cargo Screener, you will be responsible for conducting both electronic and physical screening of cargo in accordance with regulatory requirements and Certis operating procedures.
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will support the safe and secure movement of freight while ensuring compliance with aviation and transport security regulations.

Location: Various Locations
Roster: Flexible casual shifts available across day, afternoon, night, weekend and public holiday operations. Availability across multiple shift patterns is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

Operating X-ray screening and other approved detection equipment
-
Monitoring and interpreting X-ray images to identify potential threats or prohibited items
-
Conducting physical inspections and searches of cargo when required
-
Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements

Maintaining accurate records, logs and screening documentation
-
Reporting and escalating security or safety incidents in accordance with procedures
-
Identifying and handling prohibited items in line with established protocols
-
Controlling access to security-sensitive and restricted areas
-
Conducting routine equipment checks and reporting faults as required

Participating in shift briefings and operational handovers
-
Working collaboratively with team members and operational stakeholders
About You
You are a vigilant and reliable security professional who understands the importance of maintaining secure cargo operations.
You possess excellent attention to detail, strong observational skills and the ability to remain focused in a dynamic operational environment.

Current WA Security Licence

Strong attention to detail and observational capabilities

Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform manual inspections

Experience within aviation, transport, freight or logistics environments will be highly regarded.
Desirable Requirements

Current Driver's Licence

Previous experience in cargo screening, aviation security, logistics or security operations

Experience operating X-ray or other screening equipment

Multilingual language skills will be highly regarded
Training & Accreditation
Successful applicants will complete a paid training pathway funded by Certis, including a 24-hour online Cargo Screening course, 40 hours of supervised On-the-Job Training (OJT), and a 4-hour accreditation assessment. Successful completion of all training and accreditation requirements is mandatory before undertaking Cargo Screening duties independently and continuing in the role.
