The School of Medical and Health Sciences
The School of Medical and Health Sciences is home to teaching and research in Medical and Biomedical Sciences, Allied Health, and Exercise and Sports Sciences, as well as in Public, Occupational and Environmental Health. Our world-class research is rapidly translated to provide solutions to some of the key health issues facing our community.
About the Opportunity
You will join the Cancer Cell Biology research group as a research assistant. As a member you will be responsible for:
Assisting with experimental activities involving cell and molecular biology techniques, and mouse models.
Ensuring equipment maintenance and accessibility
Performing data collection and analysis that are publication quality
Ensuring timely procurement of laboratory consumables and supplies to maintain uninterrupted research operations
Training of new staff and postgraduate students
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Obtained at least a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
- Experience working in a research laboratory
- Experience working with cell and molecular biology techniques and working with mice
Importantly, you will demonstrate personal attributes that align with the University’s values.
