## Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically driven Supply Chain Analyst to join our team and play a key role in optimising the end-to-end supply chain function. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, analysing supply and distribution data, and supporting strategic decision-making across procurement, warehousing, and logistics operations. This role suits a professional with strong analytical capabilities, a solid understanding of supply chain principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Experience in fast-paced commercial or industrial environments will be highly regarded.
## Key Responsibilities
- Analyse supply chain data and performance metrics to identify inefficiencies, trends, and opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
- Develop, implement, and monitor supply chain strategies, policies, and operational plans to ensure the effective purchasing, storage, and distribution of goods
- Prepare and maintain stock management plans to sustain optimal inventory levels while minimising holding costs and reducing waste
- Monitor and review inventory systems and storage solutions to ensure supply requirements are consistently met and stock levels remain aligned with demand forecasts
- Operate and maintain recording systems that track the movement of supplies and finished goods, ensuring timely re-ordering and replenishment at optimal intervals
- Support or lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms across quality, cost, and delivery, ensuring ongoing supplier performance is reviewed and documented
- Liaise with internal departments including procurement, logistics, sales, and finance, as well as external customers and freight providers, to coordinate outward goods and associated transportation requirements
- Oversee the accurate recording of purchase, storage, and distribution transactions, ensuring data integrity across all supply chain systems
- Produce regular reports and dashboards on supply chain performance, presenting findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders and management
- Contribute to demand planning and forecasting activities to support production scheduling and inventory optimisation
- Assist in the supervision and coordination of warehouse or distribution staff activities where required, providing guidance and monitoring performance against established KPIs
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to enhance efficiency, compliance, and service delivery outcomes
## Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in a supply chain, inventory, logistics, or procurement analyst role
- Proficiency in supply chain management systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Sound understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments and with external stakeholders
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data recording, reporting, and process documentation
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced working environment
- Knowledge of relevant Australian regulatory and compliance requirements relating to supply chain and logistics operations
## Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration (e.g. MBA or Graduate Certificate)
- Professional certification such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent supply chain accreditation
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Familiarity with lean supply chain methodologies, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement frameworks
- Prior experience in industries such as manufacturing, retail, mining, or FMCG
- Exposure to contract management and supplier relationship management processes
