About the Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced trade qualified Fixed Plant Fitter to join our Underground Operations team to maintain and repair underground / primary ventilation and pumping equipment across our three mines at Golden Grove. In this role, you will report to the Mechanical Coordinator and work on a 2:2 roster.
Your focus will be on optimising operations to ensure safe, efficient, and effective underground systems production.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and repairing underground dewatering and service pumps including Flyght submersibles and Wilson Snyder pumps.
- Maintaining and repairing underground Kemco C200 crushers, apron and plate feeders, conveyor systems and other fixed plant assets.
- Maintaining and repairing Primary and Booster ventilation systems.
- Maintaining and repairing shaft haulage double drum winder systems.
- Monitoring pump performance and respond to breakdowns and water management issues.
- Conducting routine inspections, fault finding, and preventative maintenance.
- Assembling and maintaining pipework, valves, and associated fittings.
About YouOur ideal candidate will have experience in similar underground maintenance roles with a solid work history, including a sound understanding of pumps, primary centrifugal fans, booster fans and winder systems.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- Fixed Plant Mechanical Trade Qualification or equivalent.
- Experience with underground loading station, jaw crushers and winder hoisting (desirable).
- Experience with primary pumping and valving.
- Experience with pneumatic systems and basic hydraulics.
- Current C-class manual driver’s licence.
- HR Drivers’ License advantageous.
