We currently have the opportunity for a qualified Panel Beater to join our growing Newman workshop team. This casual position is offered on a FIFO basis ex Perth and works on a 2/1 roster. Hours are 5.00am to 5.00pm.
About the role
As a Panel Beater with Pilbara Panel & Paint, you will be responsible for repairing damaged vehicles and restoring them to a high standard of safety, appearance, and functionality. Working in a modern workshop environment, you will undertake a variety of repairs across passenger vehicles, fleet vehicles, and insurance claims.
- Assess vehicle damage and determine repair requirements.
- Repair and replace damaged panels, guards, doors, and structural components.
- Carry out panel alignment, dent removal, and body restoration work.
- Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, filling, and masking.
- Complete insurance and private repair work to manufacturer and industry standards.
- Maintain workshop equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
What you'll need
As a Panel Beater you will work on a range of vehicles, including light trucks, from mining and hire car company fleets and insurance companies. You will require:
- Panel Beating qualification (trade certificate)
- Current industry experience including but not limited to manufacturers repair specifications
- Unrestricted manual driver's licence, MR preferred
- High attention to detail
- Two years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong commitment to working safely
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including an alcohol & other drugs screen
- Are a Perth or Newman resident
