About the opportunity
Due to continued exploration growth, Gateway Mining is seeking an experienced Project Geologist to join our team and play a critical role in advancing our exploration and resource development objectives.
Reporting to the Senior Geologist and working closely with leadership, this role will support the design, execution, and optimisation of exploration programs across our expanding gold portfolio. You’ll work alongside a highly capable team, contributing to projects that shape industries, support communities, and create lasting value.
In this role, you will:
- Design and supervise drilling programs including RC, diamond and aircore campaigns
- Conduct geological logging, mapping, sampling and target generation
- Interpret geological and geochemical data using leading software platforms
- Build and maintain geological models, technical databases and QAQC systems
- Coordinate contractors, field programs and operational logistics
- Prepare technical reports, presentations and exploration updates for management
- Support business growth through technical reviews, research and project evaluations
About you
You are a technically capable, safety-focused and proactive geologist who thrives in dynamic exploration environments.
To succeed, you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related discipline
- 2+ years’ experience in project, exploration or mine geology (gold highly regarded)
- Experience with geological software such as Micromine, QGIS, Leapfrog or similar
- Strong field leadership, communication and organisational capability
- Current driver’s licence and National Police Clearance
- Ability to work across office and field environments in Western Australia
