As a Technical Trainee, you work in line with prescribed operating frameworks and develop your skills whilst gaining valuable hands on industry experience. You demonstrate a passion for technology, excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn all aspects from our highly experienced IT team. Our Field Service team provide on the ground support to homes and business around the country. As a Trainee Field Technician, you’ll be a trusted and familiar face in the community, using technology to solve real-world problems while building hands-on skills and experience that set you up to grow your career.

About the role
As a Field Delivery Telecommunications Trainee , you will work alongside a mentor offering you ongoing coaching, support and mentoring during your traineeship. You will get hands on training while providing our customers with a great experience by activating and assuring telecommunications / technology products and services, in homes and/or businesses.
You will actively participate in a diverse team environment to deliver the optimum customer and commercial outcomes aligned to Telstra's Behaviours & Habits and corporate strategy.

To be considered for the opportunity you will need the following skills & attributes:
Hold a current drivers licence.
Physically fit for the role.
The ability to undergo pre-employment medical and drug alcohol screening.
Ability to undertake a police check.
Professional and polite communication.
Enjoy working in a team environment.
Positive attitude and safety-first approach.
Be technically minded.
Qualifications:
As a Trainee Technician you will be provided with Telecommunication Technology Cert III training during the traineeship along with relevant certifications and/or licencing for the location you reside in.
