About the role
We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker and Installer to join our team at our Jandakot location in Perth. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on diverse, high-quality projects in a professional, well-established business. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, crafting, and installing custom cabinetry solutions for residential and commercial clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring every project is completed to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities
- Design and manufacture bespoke cabinets and cabinetry solutions tailored to client specifications and requirements
- Prepare detailed plans, drawings, and measurements for each project using both traditional methods and digital design tools
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware to meet project requirements and aesthetic goals
- Operate and maintain a variety of woodworking CNC machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Oversee the installation of cabinetry in clients' homes and commercial spaces, ensuring precision and quality
- Conduct on-site assessments and measurements to ensure accurate fit and finish
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation challenges or defects in a professional manner
- Liaise with clients, designers, and other trades to ensure project specifications are met and deadlines are achieved
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop and job sites in compliance with health and safety standards
- Continuously update knowledge of new materials, techniques, and industry best practices
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a cabinet maker or joiner, with a minimum of 3-5 years in the carpentry and cabinetry industry
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and manufacturing custom cabinetry solutions
- Strong proficiency with woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools
- Experience with installation of cabinetry in residential and commercial settings
- Knowledge of various timber species, veneers, and finishing techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Proficiency with CAD software or digital design tools (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members
- Current understanding of relevant health and safety regulations in Western Australia
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting and standing for extended periods
