Trainer & Assessor – Cleaning Operations

Clear & Bright is a premium cleaning business operating across Perth's Western Suburbs. We are looking for an experienced Trainer & Assessor – Cleaning Operations to join our team and help us develop highly skilled, safe and quality-focused cleaning professionals.
This is a hands-on training role suited to someone who has at least 1 year of experience in Training & Assessment.
You will play an important role in our recruitment and employee development process - from assessing candidates during practical trials through to delivering structured training and helping us build engaging online learning content.
About the role
Working alongside our management team, you will:
- Assess prospective cleaning employees using Clear & Bright's recruitment scoring matrix and practical assessment processes
- Deliver practical cleaning training at our on-site training facility
- Demonstrate professional cleaning techniques, equipment use and appropriate cleaning methods
- Train employees in hazard identification, safe work practices and appropriate use of cleaning equipment and products
- Observe employees completing practical cleaning tasks using structured observation checklists
- Provide constructive feedback and identify areas requiring further development
- Develop trainer scripts, lesson plans and practical training activities
- Assist with the development of online learning content within our Learning Management System (LMS)
- Develop training materials aligned with relevant content and competency requirements from CPP30321 Certificate III in Cleaning Operations, together with Clear & Bright's own policies, procedures and quality standards
- Help continually improve our training systems and resources as our business grows
About you
You'll have:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) - required
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of quality standards
- The ability to deliver physical demonstrations with confidence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles
- Experience in lesson plan development, modification and tailoring
- The ability to objectively assess practical performance against defined criteria
- Confidence providing constructive feedback to people with varying levels of experience
- A genuine interest in training, coaching and developing others
- Good written skills and the ability to develop clear training materials
- A strong commitment to WHS and safe work practices
- Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude
Highly regarded
- Previous experience as a domestic/commercial cleaner
- Experience training or supervising cleaning staff
- Experience conducting workplace competency assessments
- Experience developing training materials, lesson plans or online learning content
- Knowledge of CPP30321 Certificate III in Cleaning Operations
- Experience using an LMS or other online training platform
- WHS qualifications or relevant experience
