We are a well-established, professional & welcoming Orthodontic Practice, with two great clinics in Claremont & Floreat.
We are seeking an Experienced Orthodontic Dental Technician to join our team!
You will have demonstrated experience as a Dental Technician in Orthodontics who has a strong knowledge of all Orthodontic appliances.
You will also possess a high-level of artistic ability and attention to detail, together with the ability to work independently and within a team.
This is a varied position in a lively workplace so your cheerfulness, enthusiasm & ability to multi-task will be required.
As we are a multi clinic practice, you will also be happy to travel between clinics when required and have reliable transport.
Essential Criteria:
- Diploma of Dental Technology
Demonstrates high skill level and experienced:-
- The Fabrication of all Orthodontic Appliances – approx.20 different appliances that are made with various materials, wires, hooks, springs, clasps, bands, cribs, expansion screws, pontics, acrylic work, soldering, bending wires, trimming/polishing, resetting teeth on stone.
- Fabrication of Trutains, bleaching trays, Mouth guards,
- Modifying scans and downloading scans for 3D printing and fabrication
- 3D printing of models
- Scanning – Intra oral imaging
- Pour Impressions
- Trim Study Models
- Maintaining the appropriate stock for lab
- Maintaining equipment
- Recording monthly Lab Accounts & End of Financial year costings
- Cleaning Lab at the end of the day
- Ensuring work is completed in allocated timeframes
Additional Desirable experience
- Ability to speak fluent Mandarin
- Assists orthodontist & therapist/hygienist during examination and treatment of patients.
- Ensuring all sterilization and infection control procedures are followed.
- Educating patients on oral hygiene instructions and caring for their appliances.
- Ensuring all patients and families have a friendly, professional and positive experience for their orthodontic journey.
