This is a field-driven role offering significant variety, autonomy, and responsibility.
You will be instrumental in:
- Commissioning and troubleshooting advanced security systems in diverse field environments
- Diagnosing complex, real-world issues under pressure and delivering effective solutions
- Working with cutting-edge platforms across Access Control, CCTV, and integrated security systems
- Delivering robust solutions that ensure the security and integrity of people, assets, and operations
This role is for a specialist with a proven track record not an entry-level technician.
Minimum Requirements
- Multiple years’ experience in electronic security systems
- Highly competent across:
o Access Control Systems (enterprise platforms, integrations, card systems)|
o CCTV / Video Surveillance Systems (configuration, diagnostics, troubleshooting)
o Computer Networking Fundamentals (IP addressing, switching, remote access)
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability across integrated systems
- Ability to work independently on-site and consistently deliver outcomes
Licensing & Compliance requirements
- Current Security Installer Licence (or ability to obtain)
- Open Driver’s Licence
- Cabling licence / electrical licence (highly regarded)
- Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain, where required)
- Full Australian working rights
You will be hands-on, delivering critical services and solutions, including: preventative maintenance, reactive service, and minor upgrades across security systems, system start-ups, commissioning, and optimisation on live operational sites. Advanced fault diagnosis across integrated systems (Access Control, CCTV, alarms, and networks), and installation works, modifications, and system upgrades in line with customer requirements.
You will provide site-based technical leadership and problem-solving, engaging directly with customers, delivering training and expert technical support. Maintain accurate service reports, documentation, and job records in line with Siemens processes, and identify improvement opportunities, variations, and potential additional works.
