We are excited to be expanding our market-leading Deals Strategy & Operations team further into the Western Australian market! After a period of working closely with a number of Perth based clients, we are now formally looking to establish and build out a Perth based team. Subsequently, we're looking for talented professionals based in Perth—or those eager to relocate—who want to be part of building something from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team at an early stage of its local development, helping to shape our offering and establish strong client relationships across the region.
What you’ll do:
Pre-deal value creation advice – how can we create value for our client in this deal?
Buy and sell side operational due diligence – has the business been performing well? What could be improved to unlock further value for our client
Synergy assessment and planning – what are the synergies between the businesses and how do we plan to capture them?
Carve out and divestment support – what does the business look like when we carve it out from the parent? How will the business undertake the carve out? What support will the business need to function during the transition period?
Day 1 to Day 100 – how do we safely take control of the business, manage risk and commence realising synergies in the first 100 days?
Integration and optimisation – what is the right level of operational integration (including people, operations, technology, etc.) to optimise the business and grow value? How do we implement sustainable cost savings? How do we run the integration program?
What we’re looking for:
You will have at least 5 years experience understanding typical business operations. You will be skilled in Excel and PowerPoint and are comfortable around high level financial analysis and have understanding of the key operational drivers.
You will hold an understanding of developing and nurturing internal/external networks, understand and be able to map a business process, have proficient oral and written communication skills
You will have a strong awareness of how the Perth market operates, with strong experience operating in core Perth based industry sectors
You will have a passion for improving the M&A success rates for clients, and a strong desire to want to build and grow a professional services team
You have previous experience supporting M&A processes, specifically in relation to M&A carve out, operational due diligence, or post-merger integration.
