The Job:
As a Territory Development Manager in our WA Sales Team, you will be energetic, commercially driven, and motivated to succeed. This role is a balanced mix of distributor/retailer management demand creation, requiring someone who can grow sales through strong channel partnerships while also creating pull-through demand with end users. You thrive on building relationships, influencing outcomes, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Your core duties will include:
- Driving sales performance, growth, and execution across distributors and retail partners within your territory.
- Building strong relationships with distributor and retail stakeholders to grow market share and strengthen our in-store presence.
- Creating demand for our brands by strategically engaging with end users and influencing product preference and pull-through sales.
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities through onsite activity and delivering customer-specific solutions.
- Promoting products through demonstrations, training, and hands-on instruction for retail teams, customers, and end users.
- Identifying and executing incremental merchandising opportunities, including off-location displays and in-store growth initiatives.
- Developing strong stakeholder relationships and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver territory objectives.
- Conducting distributor, retailer, and end-user training sessions at SBD Field Days, in-store, on end-user sites, and at major trade events.
- Planning weekly priorities and completing daily activity updates in Salesforce, ensuring all tasks and calendars are accurate and up to date.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and workable range of power tools, accessories, and materials for demonstrations and training activities.
The Person:

- Proven experience in customer engagement, sales, or business development, with a strong passion for driving results.
- Experience managing or working closely with distributors and/or retailers, with an understanding of how to grow channel performance.
- Experience engaging with end users and building brand advocacy to generate demand.
- Ideally, experience engaging with and selling into the construction and building industry.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to deliver product demonstrations and training to a variety of audiences.
- Ideally, experience delivering product training for internal or external stakeholders.
- The ability and willingness to quickly learn technical product specifications and the broader hardware industry.
- Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously across a territory.
- Most importantly, a genuine passion for working with customers and end users in the power tool and hand tool industry.
