Lewis Hotels operates 13 successful hospitality venues across greater Sydney.

To be a successful industry leader, we use our knowledge of Hotels, Gaming, Food & Beverage and Entertainment to provide our customers with the best venue experience possible.

We take a hands-on approach when it comes to running our venues and ensure our team are supported when delivering what our venues have to offer to our customers.

About You

We are looking for an individual with a passion for the hospitality Industry who takes pride in themselves, the venue, and their team when delivering the customer service experience..

You would have the ability to nourish a team environment and strive for all team members to reach their full potential in their hospitality career.

You would be self-motivated and naturally a multi–tasker, wanting a long-term position in our company.

To be successful you will need

Proven experience as a Chef at the level you are applying for
Exceptional personal presentation and customer service skills
Minimum 2 yrs in a similar role in a successful restaurant / pub environment
Required certificates relevant to job description
Available to work a 7 day rotating roster, incl weekends and public holidays
Must be trade qualified and hold certification in Commercial Cookery (at the level you are applying for)
Good communication skills
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure
Attention to detail
Creative and passionate about food and adhering to the group high standards
A genuine passion for food and strong interest in the Hospitality

Your responsibilities will include

Preparing, cooking, plating and presentation of high quality dishes
Keeping your section and kitchen clean, organised and stocked, FIFO and up keeping stringent food standards
Maintaining par levels
Assisting kitchen managers in daily operations
Mentoring junior members of the brigade
Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and ensuring checklists are completed
Adhering to food service sanitation standards at all times
