We are looking for a experienced full time- painter. Must have a good attitude and ready to start ASAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation: Including cleaning, sanding, scraping, and priming surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.
- Paint Application: Applying paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes using various tools like brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
- Colour Matching and Mixing: Mixing paints to achieve specific colours and finishes; matching existing colours or creating custom shades.
- High-Quality Finishes: Inspecting painted surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and client expectations.- Work Area Management: Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including protecting surrounding surfaces and furniture, and cleaning up debris after the job
- Material Management: Monitoring inventory of paints, tools, and other materials, and ordering supplies as needed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning, maintaining, and calibrating painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other tools.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries while working with paint and equipment.
- Project Management: Working with clients to understand their needs and preferences, estimating project costs, and managing timelines and budgets.
- Collaboration and Communication: Working with clients, team members, and other professionals to ensure project success.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Tertiary Qualifications: In Painting and Decorating with a minimum of 1 year of full-time work experience.
- Attention to Detail: Must be meticulous in your work, paying close attention to detail to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication is vital for understanding client needs and preferences.
- Time Management: Manage time effectively to complete projects on schedule.- Problem-Solving: Ability to solve issues like uneven surfaces or colour mismatches and the need to be able to troubleshoot them.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills for dealing with clients and owners.
- Creativity and Aesthetics: Have an eye for colour and design.
- Other Requirements: In addition to the qualification, you must hold a construction induction training White Card.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
