Our client is a well-established engineering and maintenance business based in Western Sydney, specialising in fabrication, installation, maintenance, and project support across industrial, water, infrastructure, and process environments.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a qualified Boilermaker / Fabricator to join their experienced team. This is primarily a workshop-based role, with occasional site work across local projects.
About the Role
As a Boilermaker / Fabricator, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, welding, and installation of a range of mechanical and structural components.
Your duties will include:
- Fabrication and assembly of structural steel, stainless steel, pipework, frames, brackets, platforms, and mechanical components
- MIG, TIG, and MMA welding as required
- Cutting, grinding, fitting, marking out, measuring, and material preparation
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and sketches
- Assisting with installation, maintenance, and project works on customer sites when required
- Producing high-quality work with strong attention to detail
- Following workshop procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient workshop environment
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator
- Experience in general fabrication, welding, and assembly
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong skills working with carbon steel and stainless steel
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, experienced team
- Reliable attitude and strong focus on safety and quality
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade, or equivalent
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Construction White Card
- Ability to complete site-specific inductions and compliance requirements
Desirable Tickets / Experience
- Forklift Licence
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- EWP Licence
- Experience in industrial, water, process, or infrastructure environments
