The Role
Location: Mount Druitt / Western Sydney | Ongoing Consistent Hours Available | 2:1 Support Environment
We are currently seeking experienced, calm, and highly reliable Support Workers to join a specialised support team working with a young male participant with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 3), Severe Intellectual Disability, and complex behavioural support needs.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity for support workers who are confident working within structured behavioural support environments and passionate about delivering consistent, person-centred care.
Key Details:
This role involves:
- 2:1 community access and daily supports
- Supporting a non-verbal participant
- Implementing Behaviour Support Plan strategies
- Personal care support, including continence support and showering assistance
- Community access and transport support
- Supporting emotional regulation, routine, and engagement
- Working closely within a consistent support team and alongside allied health recommendations
Supports are provided across a structured weekly routine, with a strong focus on consistency, predictability, and relationship-based support.

Highly Regarded Experience
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) support experience
- Non-verbal communication support
- Behaviour support / BSP implementation
- Community access and transport support
- Experience with participants who may abscond or require close supervision
- Experience in SIL, complex care, or high-intensity support environments
- Male support workers and bilingual workers highly regarded
Important Information
This participant requires:
- High levels of supervision in the community
- Consistent implementation of behavioural support strategies
- Calm and patient support approaches
- Workers who can build trust and maintain a stable support environment
Due to the nature of the support, this role may involve responding to behaviours of concern, emotional escalation, and high-risk community situations. Ongoing guidance and support will be provided to the successful team.
