About the role
As a Roads & Stormwater Project Manager / Project Engineer, you will be accountable for the planning, project management, and delivery of sustainable infrastructure capital works for roads, stormwater, and transport assets. Your work will directly support the social, environmental, economic, and governance objectives outlined in Council’s Community Strategic Plan.
You will:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of capital infrastructure projects, including scoping, stakeholder engagement, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Form and lead Project Control Groups to ensure integration of Council-wide initiatives into project delivery.
- Implement best practice project management systems and processes to achieve timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes.
- Inspire and guide project teams while fostering collaboration across Council to solve problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Ensure assigned projects and programs are delivered within the budgeted year and meet Council’s operational and strategic commitments.

Remuneration
$114,377.12 - $137,420.92 + Civil Liability Allowance (subject to eligibility) + 12% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, project management, construction management or other appropriate discipline recognised by relevant Australian professional institute.
- Comprehensive experience in successful project management of infrastructure works with the capacity to support innovative thinking.
- Sound experience in the design and construction of civil infrastructure.
- Highly developed project management, procurement and contract administration skills successfully utilised in delivering infrastructure services.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills (written & oral) together with proven ability for negotiation and conflict resolution. Ability to engage staff and stakeholders and work collaboratively. Ability to represent Council to external organisations, customers and members of the public.
- Current NSW Class C Driver’s License.
