Blackstone Private Wealth (BXPW) was established to answer the growing demand for Blackstone products from high-net worth investors. Global Product Strategy:
Global Product Strategy is focused on designing flagship, category-killing products that deliver Blackstone’s investment capabilities, and redefining the accessibility of alternatives for private wealth clients. As a member of the team, the individual will be responsible for driving the design and end-to-end development of new products primarily for the wealth channel. The ideal candidate will be creative and passionate about researching and creating innovative product structures and solutions to unlock new markets and distribution channels.
The team provides domain knowledge and expertise on investment products and structures, industry and regulatory developments, market and competitive dynamics. Global Product Strategy has key internal and external stakeholders, including Blackstone investment teams, Blackstone Private Wealth professionals, external fund diligence and selection professionals, and financial advisors.
Job Description:
Primary job responsibilities include:
Lead product origination and development for the Australia wealth market
Identify market and product trends in the industry to enable BXPW to make informed product decisions
Lead curation of product priorities for various client segments across Australia by analyzing and distilling industry data, evaluating the relative strength of BXPW products vs. peers, understanding client feedback and preferences
Helping to evolve the firm's product offerings to stay relevant to the client base and market environment
Participate in early-stage global product design and development, provide ongoing oversight for products across asset classes
Prioritize and efficiently execute new product ideas that leverage the firm's investment capabilities, drive scale and address meaningful and measurable client demand
Develop product messaging, competitive research and actionable ideas for growth and change that would be presented to senior management, governance forums, sales, and investment teams
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, 9+ years of relevant financial industry experience
Familiarity with private markets products for the wealth channel including typical structures (Luxembourg SICAV, Australian unit trusts, ETFs, etc.), terms, portfolio and liquidity management mechanics
In-depth working knowledge of the Australian wealth management industry, client channels and regulatory environment
Experience with Australian wealth management industry participants specifically rating agencies, platforms and asset consultants / OCIOs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
Strong project management and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with global teams across all levels and functions
Ability to engage and manage senior stakeholders and independently drive initiatives
Strong technical skills including high level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with industry data through such sources as Morningstar Direct, Broadridge, etc.
