Role Purpose All teachers have the responsibility to support Danebank’s aspiration and

The teacher is passionate about learning and deeply
committed to the wellbeing and growth of each student.
In partnership with their Head of Department the teacher collaborates,
shares teaching practice, brings innovative ideas to promote a culture of
continuous improvement.
Casual teachers delivers an inspiring and differentiated learning
program through high quality teaching in order to develop deep
understanding and develop students as reflective and powerful learners.
The teacher ensures professional compliance, supports policy and follows
school procedures and systems.
Every teacher is expected to be involved in the learning, student care,
outdoor education and co-curricular programs as these are pivotal to the
holistic development of each student.
Specific Duties and
Responsibilities
Actively support the Christian ethos of the school, modelling a Christian
example in all activities. Create inclusive, safe and supportive learning
environments that model Christian world views.
Teaching and Learning
Sound understanding of the content and structure of the NESA
curriculum and contemporary learning.
- Support students to learn how to learn, developing individuals as
self directed, powerful learners.
- Classroom teaching and co-curricular activities Years 7-12,
including planning and implementing coherent, well-sequenced
teaching and learning programs that engage students and promote
learning.
- Provision of rigorous academic learning, supporting students to
achieve their personal best and pursue learning growth through
personalisation of learning.
- Implement best practice teaching and learning strategies
appropriate to the learning of teenage girls.
- Purposely integrate literacy, numeracy and ICT into teaching and
learning programs.
- Regularly monitor and assess student learning and growth and
analyse data to inform and improve teaching practice.
- An ability to inspire and engage students and to develop in them a
love and appreciation of the subject.
- Ensure that positive and constructive feedback is provided to
students in a timely manner to improve the students'
understanding.
- Maintain all administrative records to a high standard including
programmes and registers, attendance, wellbeing, NCCD,
assessment and reports.
