The Role
Reports to: VP, Sales (EMEA & APAC)
Location: Fully Remote - Australia
Comp: AU$200k-$250k (Base) + Unlimited Variable + Growth Shares + Global iProov Benefits
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Director to lead new business generation across APAC & ANZ, focusing on:

Federal Government
-
State Governments (AU)
-
Private sector, with emphasis on Banking, Financial Services, and Digital Credential Opportunities
The role also includes account management responsibilities for high value strategic accounts in the region such as the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and Singaporean Government.
This is a quota-carrying individual contributor role, ideal for someone entrepreneurial, with a deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles and digital identity in regulated markets. You'll be part of iProov's global Revenue team and a critical driver of regional growth and strategic partnerships.
How you can make an impact

Own and lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to close across Governments and BFSI sectors in APAC & ANZ

Strategically manage and grow existing high value strategic relationships, aligning with digital identity priorities

Map the market, research opportunities, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders across public and private sectors

Position iProov as a trusted partner to C-level, security, innovation, and procurement leaders

Collaborate with global and regional colleagues (product, pre-sales, marketing, legal) to drive success across the APAC region

Identify and engage local channel and alliance partners in alignment with iProov's Global Partnership function

Represent iProov at regional industry events, roundtables, and government forums

Contribute to APAC & ANZ go-to-market strategies, pricing, and positioning based on market feedback

Ensure pipeline health and accurate forecasting via CRM and weekly revenue reviews
What we would like to see for you

Proven track record in enterprise sales within digital identity, cybersecurity, or compliance technology

Demonstrated success selling into national government customers and regulated industries like Banking/Finance/Travel/Insurance, etc

Strong understanding of APAC & ANZ procurement processes, government sales cycles, and compliance environments

Exceptional communicator with experience navigating complex stakeholder landscapes

Ability to balance new business development with strategic account management

Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating globally in a scale-up environment

Experience responding to RFPs, managing long-cycle deals, and influencing multi-million dollar outcomes

Willingness to travel across APAC & ANZ
Desirable to enable a fast start

Existing relationships across APAC & ANZ Governments or BFSI networks

Familiarity with biometric authentication, AML/KYC, or identity assurance platforms

Experience working with or within Public Sector

Understanding of workforce identity or citizen access use cases
