Best Life Disability Services is a growing NDIS Registered Provider committed to supporting people with disability to live safe, independent and fulfilling lives. We are seeking a reliable, motivated and experienced Handyman / Property Maintenance & Gardening Officer to join our team.
This hands-on role involves maintaining participant homes, Supported Independent Living (SIL) properties and company facilities throughout the Northern Adelaide region.
About the Role
No two days are the same. You will complete a variety of maintenance, repair and gardening tasks to ensure our properties remain safe, functional and welcoming.
Duties include:
General Maintenance
Property repairs and general maintenance
Painting, patching and touch-up work
Basic carpentry repairs
Replacing door handles, locks and other fixtures
Basic plumbing maintenance (non-licensed work)
Flat-pack furniture assembly
Installing shelves, curtain rods and safety equipment
Fence and gate repairs
Gutter cleaning
Pressure washing
Minor property improvements
Waste removal and property clean-ups
Routine property inspections and reporting maintenance issues
Gardening & Outdoor Maintenance
Lawn mowing and edging
Whipper snipping
Hedge trimming and pruning
Weeding and mulching
Planting flowers, shrubs and vegetables
General garden maintenance
Leaf removal
Green waste disposal
Maintaining outdoor areas to a high standard
Essential Requirements
Experience in handyman, property maintenance or gardening roles
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Ability to safely use gardening and maintenance equipment
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
National Police Check
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage your workload
Friendly, professional and reliable attitude
Desirable

Experience working within disability services or community care
Trade qualifications or relevant maintenance experience
