We now seek a full-time Motor Mechanic to join our busy team.

About the role

Duties include:

Carry out servicing, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and workplace standards.
Perform wheel alignments, suspension inspections, repairs, and component replacements including shock absorbers, coil springs, chassis components, and associated undercar systems.
Diagnose and repair steering and braking systems, including brake pad and rotor replacement, hydraulic system repairs, and brake performance testing.
Conduct fault diagnosis and troubleshooting using advanced diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical issues efficiently and accurately.
Perform timing chain and timing belt inspections, replacements, and related engine repairs while ensuring correct engine timing and performance.
Undertake major and minor mechanical repairs including engine, drivetrain, suspension, steering, and braking system repairs.
Complete moderate automotive electrical work including electrical accessory installations, towbar wiring, lighting systems, and related troubleshooting and repairs.
Test, inspect, and road-test vehicles following repairs to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with manufacturer and workshop quality standards.
Maintain accurate job records, repair documentation, and parts usage while adhering to workplace health and safety procedures.
Assist with general workshop duties and contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient workshop environment with a strong focus on workmanship quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

At least one year of relevant work experience
Qualified Mechanic and at least a Certificate 3 in Light Vehicle Automotive (or similar)

Remuneration

Salary will be commensurate with experience and be in the range of 76,000 to 80,000 per annum plus super
