About the opportunity
Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our unrestricted MR Truck Driver, you’ll be the face of our trusted Mackay based StarTrack business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!
Based on an initial 6 month full time term with view to permanency, working Monday to Friday with overtime, our Drivers receive $33.82/hr + 12% super + overtime rates and an additional district allowance of $50/week. In accordance with the EBA, an increase is due in September.
You’ll be
-
Safely loading your truck with freight for your deliveries with teammates at the facility (up to 30kg lifting).

Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.

Driving our trucks between our Mackay Facility and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups.

Returning to Mackay Facility to unload pick-ups.
About you
You’re a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality who loves autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.
You’ll also need to

Hold an unrestricted MR license.

Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck with a lifting capacity of 30kg.

Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility.

Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills.

Meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less.

Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and nationally coordinated criminal history checks.
