Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand to join our team. This role involves assisting with the day-to-day operations of our concrete sleeper yard, including loading and unloading materials, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and supporting production and dispatch activities.
Monday - Friday 7am to 12pm - potential for 7am-3:30pm depending on licence type.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload concrete sleepers and other materials using forklifts or manual handling.
- Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Maintain yard cleanliness and organisation.
- Assist with basic maintenance of equipment and tools.
- Operate machinery and vehicles as required (e.g., forklift, loader).
- Follow WHS procedures and report any hazards or incidents.
- Support production staff with tasks as needed.
- Perform stock checks and assist with inventory management.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or construction environment.
- Must have Forklift licence (LF).
- HR Truck License highly desireable.
- Ability to perform physical labour and lift heavy items.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
