Provisional Fellow –Intensive Care Medicine
A position is available for a Transitional Fellow in Intensive Care Medicine. The primary purpose of this position is to provide support and graded responsibility to the Transition Year Critical Care Fellow (TY Fellow) as they transition from the registrar to the consultant role. It is expected that in addition to clinical experience and off-site on call, there will be a meaningful exposure to the teaching, research, and non-clinical related roles of an Intensive Care Specialist.

Essential Requirements:
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Satisfactory completions of all the requirements laid out by the College of Intensive Care Medicine in the Objectives of Training: The Transition Year Guideline, including:
o Training time
o Assessments for the core intensive care medicine, anaesthetics and medicine years
o Second Part Exam
o Prescribed courses, learning packages and work-based assessments
o Submission of a Formal Project
o Two of the three sub-specialties in Cardiothoracic surgery, Neurology/Neurosurgery, intensive care and/or Trauma intensive care
- Current registration as a trainee with the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand, or eligible for and intent to obtain Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand.
- Sufficient clinical experience in order to undertake the key accountabilities for this role
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Cleared National Police Check
- Aged Care Check for Australian Government funded positions
- To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy, this includes any amendments made from time to time.

4. Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise
5. Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and display a flexible approach to meet challenging situations in a demanding and unpredictable clinical environment
6. Demonstrated commitment to participating in self-directed training and development opportunities to further develop skills and knowledge in the area of intensive care medicine
7. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management, working within agree unit guidelines and governance structures
8. Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive workplace culture
