Jobs/Responsibilities

Reporting to the IT Operations Team Leader, this position is responsible for providing first-line support to Council staff, Councillors and customers for Information Technology’s end-user equipment, servers, network, applications and general technology. This includes:

Providing phone, remote and face-to-face first level (Helpdesk) support and training to Council staff and Councillors
Ensure operational maintenance tasks, including backups, patching, and imaging are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor Information Technology Helpdesk ticket queues ensuring adherence to in-place service levels, escalating tickets as required.
Manage information systems to support the operation of Council’s Information Technology.

Skills/Experience

To be successful in this position you will need:

Information Technology qualifications or;
Demonstrated experience working with, and troubleshooting, computer hardware, Windows operating systems, and Android/iOS mobile devices.
Demonstrated experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 admin
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks.
To be an enthusiastic champion of technology and its ability to drive improvements in work processes and environments.
To be a positive person who thrives on collaboration and communication, seeing these as essential to building a good team environment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to obtain a satisfactory criminal records check.
