Salary: $91,252 - $99,464.56 (plus allowances and superannuation)
Hours: 35 hours per week (flexible work arrangements including rostered days off available)

About the role
Orange City Council is seeking a motivated Civil & Geotechnical Engineer to play a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, reliable and sustainable transport infrastructure for our community. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise across civil design, construction support and geotechnical investigation, while working closely with the Transport Asset Engineer and Works Team. From planning and supervising field investigations to assessing transport and drainage assets and contributing to the delivery of minor projects, you’ll have the chance to make a visible impact on the infrastructure that keeps Orange moving.

We’re searching for someone who is ready to make a positive impact. To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card) or the ability to acquire
- Current Class C driver’s licence
- Experience in civil design, construction support, geotechnical investigation and road pavement design
- Ability to plan and carry out geotechnical investigations, including supervision and logging of test pits and boreholes, Benkelman Beam testing, and coordination of external laboratory testing of soils and road building materials
- Knowledge of transport and drainage asset inspection, condition assessment, and maintenance documentation
- Experience in programming and delivering minor civil infrastructure projects
