Key Responsibilities

Schedule appointments and manage patient bookings efficiently across multiple providers.
Maintain accurate patient records and uphold confidentiality at all times.
Process referrals, clinical correspondence, and medical reports in a timely manner.
Liaise effectively with patients, treating specialists, GPs, and hospitals.
Manage billing processes including Medicare, DVA, and private health fund claims.
Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks as required.
Ensure the reception area and administrative systems remain welcoming and well-organised.
Contribute to continuous improvement of practice processes and workflows.

What We Are Looking For

2 years’ experience in a medical, specialist, or healthcare administration role preferred by not essential.
Demonstrated experience with practice management software (e.g., Best Practice, Genie, or similar) preferred.
Sound knowledge of medical terminology, Medicare billing, and referral workflows preferred.
Excellent organisational and communication skills — both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team across multiple locations.
Professional, patient-centred approach with a commitment to confidentiality.
