We are seeking experienced, energetic, and committed Disability Support Workers to support children and young people with complex disabilities and high behaviours of concern. This role includes respite care in a therapeutic farm environment as well as in-home support with participants and their families.
Our supports are delivered in line with the NDIS Practice Standards, with a strong focus on child safety, trauma-informed care, and family-centered practice.
About the Role
You will be working closely with children who may require high levels of supervision, structure, and emotional regulation support. This is an active, hands-on role requiring workers to remain alert, engaged, and physically present at all times.
We are looking for workers available to work at our Officer, VIC location as well as in the Eastern and South/Eastern suburbs in participants homes.
Duties include:
- Providing direct care during farm-based respite programs
- In-home support with participants and their families
- Implementing behaviour support plans and care plans
- Supporting emotional regulation, daily routines, and engagement in activities
- Managing behaviours of concern using positive behaviour support strategies
- Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
- Completing accurate documentation in line with NDIS requirements
- Communicating effectively with families and the support team
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- Minimum 6 months experience supporting children or young people with disabilities and/or high behaviours of concern
- Ability to work in a physically active role, including being on your feet for extended periods
- Capacity to respond calmly and professionally to challenging behaviours
- Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to complete documentation and communicate effectively with families and professionals
- Strong understanding of professional boundaries and child safety
- Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Highly Desirable:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Youth Work, Community Services, or a related field
- Experience supporting children with complex disabilities
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour support
- Experience working collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams

Pay: $26.30 – $75.46 per hour
