La Baguette Café is an award-winning café and restaurant located in the heart of Berwick Village. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Barista & Café All-Rounder to join our team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional looking for a stable full-time role with predominantly daytime hours while taking on additional responsibilities within a well-established and respected café.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on team member who is confident managing the coffee section, supporting front-of-house operations, and assisting with the day-to-day running of the café.

This is not a junior role. We are seeking someone who can take ownership of their work, work independently when required, and support management in delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing high-quality coffee and beverages to a consistent standard
Operating and maintaining coffee equipment
Delivering exceptional customer service
Taking customer orders and processing payments
Running food and beverages to tables
Managing floor service during busy periods
Opening and closing duties as required
Assisting with stock replenishment and inventory control
Monitoring stock levels and reporting ordering requirements
Receiving and checking supplier deliveries
Assisting with supplier orders in the absence of the Café Manager
Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the venue
Supporting the team across all front-of-house operations
Assisting with the smooth day-to-day operation of the café

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Barista in a busy café environment
Strong coffee-making skills with excellent milk texturing and latte art
Experience in table service and front-of-house operations
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Experience with stock control or inventory management
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Reliability, punctuality, and professional presentation
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Full working rights in Australia
Availability to work weekends on a regular basis

What We Offer

Full-time position (38–40 hours per week)
Salary package of $65,000 – $70,000 + Superannuation, depending on experience
