Job Description

As an Electrician at AKD, you'll play a vital role in supporting our production team and ensuring the reliability of our manufacturing equipment. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you'll bring your technical expertise to a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment where safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.

Experience with Allen Bradley / Rockwell PLC systems and Control Logix is highly regarded, and you'll have the opportunity to build on these skills as part of a supportive team. This role also offers an attractive hourly rate with opportunities for overtime.

What you'll be doing

Leading with an unwavering commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
Carrying out preventative electrical maintenance to keep our plant running smoothly
Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults with accuracy and efficiency
Investigating, eliminating, and documenting VSD‑related issues
Ensuring all work complies with relevant standards and regulations
Planning, organising, and prioritising tasks to support production needs

What you'll bring

A Trade Certificate in electrical qualifications
Strong problem‑solving abilities and a practical, solutions‑focused mindset
Confident analytical and communication skills
Basic computer literacy and comfort working with digital systems
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a skilled team
