As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced and motivated Cleaning Team Leader to help lead our cleaning teams, maintain quality standards, and support our operations team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for managing cleaning teams in the field while ensuring every service meets HouseKept's quality standards.
You'll act as the link between our cleaners and administration team, helping ensure operations run smoothly every day.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Training
- Train and onboard new cleaners
- Coach team members on HouseKept cleaning systems and standards
- Conduct regular quality inspections
- Provide ongoing feedback and performance support
- Lead by example and maintain a positive team culture
Operations Management
- Monitor cleaner performance and job completion
- Ensure all cleaning jobs are completed on time and to HouseKept standards
- Assist with scheduling and rostering of cleaning teams
- Manage daily team communication and attendance
- Resolve issues that arise in the field
- Conduct spot checks and quality audits
Administration & Communication
- Maintain regular communication with the administration team
- Report staffing, quality, and operational issues promptly
- Assist with workflow planning and resource allocation
- Ensure accurate job notes and updates are recorded
Inventory & Supplies
- Monitor cleaning product and equipment levels
- Order and manage cleaning supplies
- Ensure teams are fully equipped for scheduled work
- Track inventory usage and minimise waste
Airbnb Operations
- Ensure sufficient linen is available for all Airbnb cleans
- Monitor linen stock levels and laundry requirements
- Coordinate linen movements between properties where required
- Ensure Airbnb properties are guest-ready and completed on schedule
What We're Looking For Essential
- Previous experience in residential, commercial, hotel, or Airbnb cleaning
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve under pressure
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Right to work in Australia
Highly Desirable
- Experience managing cleaning teams
- Experience using Jobber or similar field service software
- Experience with Airbnb property management
- Experience in rostering and workforce coordination
- Inventory or stock management experience
