As a Mentor specialising in Disability Employment Australia, your primary mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve meaningful and sustainable employment. You will play a pivotal role in fostering inclusivity within the workforce by providing tailored guidance, job placement services, and ongoing support to customers with disabilities. Your dedication to understanding their unique needs and collaborating with employers will bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, promoting diversity and equality in the workplace. By facilitating successful job placements and promoting workforce diversity, you will contribute significantly to enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities and promoting a more inclusive society.

Skills and Experiences:

Ability to apply mentoring, case management, and employment services
Strong understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in relation to employment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and advocacy

Knowledge of local community services, employers, and support networks
High level of organisational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or case management systems

Experience using the Employment Services System (ESS) (desirable)
First Nations Identified staff/ or culturally trained staff (desirable)
Must pass and have a current Police Check (ongoing requirement for employment)
Must pass and have a current Working with Children Check (ongoing requirement for employment)
