Full Job Description

ABES.ADL.Pty Ltd trading as Black Dog Gallery is a contemporary Japanese café based in Adelaide, proudly serving the local community for over 10 years. We offer Japanese-inspiredt food in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, focusing on fresh ingredients, seasonal flavours and carefully crafted dishes.

Qualifications and work experience:

Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willingness to obtain
At least 2 years of experience working as a cook in a café, restaurant or similar setting

Skills required:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes on the café menu
Maintain high standards of food quality, taste and presentation
Manage kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking and plating
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and receiving
Ensure a clean, safe and organised kitchen in line with food safety standards
Work collaboratively with the café and gallery team
Provide excellent customer service when required
Other duties as directed by the Café Manager
Monitor and maintain correct operating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
Ensure food is stored at appropriate temperature in accordance with food safety standards
Ensure meals are prepared to meet special dietary and allergy-related requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $76,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
