Primary objective
To provide a high level of administrative support and coordination for the Telehealth and Outreach services, working in the
outpatient setting. The role includes coordinating and visiting other service providers within the broad Big Rivers Region.

Context statement
The Telehealth Outreach Coordinator works directly with Speciality medical teams to provide telehealth services to patients
in the Big Rivers Region. This role also facilitates the Outreach Physician trips to remote communities in the region.

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Promote Telehealth and provide training to clinicians, clients and communities of the Big Rivers Region.
2. Regularly provide assistance and training with the latest Telehealth equipment and initiatives for communities and other

stakeholders.
3. Manage Medicare requirements and Activity Based Funding (ABF) to maximise revenue.
4. Coordinate Telehealth and Physician Outreach clinics.
5. Receive and process referrals and schedule clinics and appointment times as required.
6. Follow defined service quality standards, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures relating to the

work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
7. Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner to a wide range of stakeholders.
2. Extensive experience in the use of computer software such as Microsoft Office, information systems data management

and other software applications.
3. Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary, cross cultural team environment and to interact effectively with

people of diverse cultures.
4. Demonstrated ability to provide organised and timely administrative support using initiative, discretion and high order

judgement while demonstrating flexibility.
5. Ability to manage a high volume workload with limited supervision whilst maintaining confidentiality.

Desirable
1. A proficiency in videoconferencing technology and able to provide training and support in new Telehealth technology.
2. Extensive experience in outpatient clinic service delivery including referral and triage pathways, bookings, management

of clinic, and Medicare billing.
