Job Description

The Role

NextSense has an exciting opportunity for an Audiologist to join our team in Darwin. This is a Permanent Part-time arrangement, working 3 days per week and the role will report directly to the Team Lead- Greater Australia.

You’ll make a difference in this role by:

providing evidence-based assessment, intervention supports and other strategies to assist clients in achieving outcomes
using a person/family centred framework when providing services
participating in and providing clinical supervision to other team members
conducting comprehensive paediatric diagnostic assessments, including hearing evaluations for infants and children, differential diagnosis of hearing loss, and collaborative case management with families and multidisciplinary teams
performing and interpreting behavioural and electrophysiological assessments to accurately identify hearing status and auditory function across the paediatric population

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you'll need to demonstrate you meet the following selection criteria.

Essential:

Masters of Audiology or equivalent
Practicing member of Audiology Australia
Capacity and willingness to obtain a Medicare provider number to undertake the role
Demonstrates sound clinical skills and knowledge
Experience in audiological assessment, including speech perception testing
Works collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Working With Children Check
NDIS Worker Check

Desirable:

Paediatric and adult audiological experience
A working knowledge of electrophysiological tests
Willing to learn new systems, processes and frameworks
Experience working with clients who have implantable hearing devices
