About the Role
We're expanding our footprint in Western Australia and looking for a driven Sales Manager to lead the charge. Reporting to the General Manager – Rural, you'll take ownership of the WA territory and be responsible for generating new business, growing silo sales, and building customer relationships across the region. You'll manage the full sales cycle from first enquiry through to delivery, while working closely with our Operations and Engineering teams to keep our product range competitive.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across the WA Grain Belt, building Ahrens' presence in an underdeveloped market
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, from prospecting through to close
- Develop and execute a WA-specific business plan and sales strategy to meet KPIs and profitability targets
- Identify and win new business opportunities, reporting progress to senior management
- Achieve/exceed sales targets, with a focus on new-customer revenue aligned to seasonal trends
- Represent Ahrens at Field Days and industry events to generate leads
- Build a strong customer network across WA to support long-term growth
- Manage the full sales cycle, from enquiry through to site construction and handover, liaising with the Operations Manager – Site Constructed Silos
- Report market intelligence (trends, competitor activity, product opportunities) back to the business
- Partner with Operations Managers and engineering to keep the product range competitive and market-fit
Collaborate with management on marketing strategies to support regional growth

Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in sales and project management
- An understanding of the challenges of a rural client base
- Ability to drive business plans and sales strategy to ensure achievement of company sales goals and profitability
- Experience managing dealers and business partners
- Experience working with production teams
- Sound planning and organisational skills to ensure effective time management
- Availability to travel throughout the assigned territory/area on a regular basis
Availability to travel in rural Australia and between Ahrens sites on occasions
