Full Job Description

Peregians' Cafe is opening in late July in Peregian Springs, and we're after someone to take the reins out front. This is a genuine leadership role, not a supervisor shift. You'll own the front of house and set the tone for how the place feels every day.

We're a neighbourhood cafe focused on the simple things done well. Great coffee. Good food. No fuss. The kind of place locals come back to, and visitors can't wait to try for the first time.

About the role

You'll run everything out front and lead the team that makes it happen. Our Lead Chef looks after the kitchen and the owner runs the business day to day, so this role is squarely focused on front of house: the people, the coffee, and the customers.

What you'll run

Lead and support the front of house team
Own the coffee program and hold quality through every service
Manage front of house stock
Run the smoothies and drinks menu
Build relationships with regulars and the wider community

What you'll bring

Experience leading front of house in a cafe or hospitality venue
A skilled, experienced barista who knows espresso inside out and loves teaching others
Warm and friendly style
Highly organised and reliable
Food Handling or Food Safety Supervisor Certificate will be a bonus
The right to work in Australia permanently

The details

Permanent full-time, 38-40 hours per week (over 6 days)
Daytime hours - breakfast and lunch only
No nights. No Sundays.
$65,000 - $70,000 p/a plus super, above award, based on experience
A real ownership role in a brand-new cafe, with the say to shape how it runs
