What we are looking for:
- A strong leader, invested in hands on leadership and leading by example.
- Menu development and design with direct and clear communication with the Owner
- Pro-active management of food and wages costs and any other KPIs as directed by management.
- Oversee inventory, procurement, and cost control.
- A team first approach with a passion for growing and developing chefs.
- A team player, we're a small kitchen and all work together.
- Bursting with passion for produce and a seasonal and local menu.
- In-depth knowledge of produce and suppliers from the Northern Rivers.
- Excellent communication skills and time management.
- Ability to work a rotating roster.
- Have a current working visa in Australia.
Who you are
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as Head Chef
- Premium a la carte experience from a fine dining restaurant
- Ideally experience in high end wedding and events
- Very strong and clear communicator across all levels
- Strong passionate leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- A strong understanding of safe food handling procedures.
- Self-motivated, professional, with a strong attention to detail.
- Thrives working part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for great food and produce.
- Well-presented and punctual.
