Where you'll be working
As part of the First 2000 Days Framework, NSW Health and the NSW Department of Education are collaborating to make health and development checks available to 4-year-old children. The position is based at Wallsend and will be visiting Early Learning Centres across the district.

About you
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative manner with other health disciplines. You will have advanced communication skills and be able to adapt your style to suit the situation.

For appointment at Level 3: If applicant has completed a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.

For appointment at Level 2: Demonstrated experience working as an Allied Health Assistant Level 1 for a period of 12 months or more and / or Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent qualification)

If the preferred applicant is unable to demonstrate the above requirements, applicant will commence service at Level 1.

Full NSW Drivers License and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances.
Support and Development
The successful applicants will be supported by the Brighter Beginnings Health & Development Checks team including child and family health nursing, fellow allied health clinicians, Program Coordinator, Service Manager (allied health clinician), and Administration Officers.
Training will be provided as a part of induction.
