About the role
Our Newcastle office is looking for a Legal Office Junior or Junior Legal Secretary to join our team on a casual or permanent full-time basis. This office-based role will see you providing support to a busy team of solicitors.
Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of a Legal Office Junior or Junior Legal Secretary will include:
- Opening new matters, and closing/archiving completed matters
- Conducting conflict searches
- Electronic and hard copy filing
- Solicitor diary management
- Telephone calls with clients, Courts/Tribunals, other law firms and third parties
- Drafting and amending simple correspondence
General administrative support

About you
You will have excellent communication skills and a positive 'can do' attitude, with the ability to manage multiple tasks. You will have good computer skills and the willingness to work on your own and with our team.
To be considered as a Junior Legal Secretary, you must have a minimum of 6 months' experience in an administration/office assistant role.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

- Outstanding written and verbal communication

Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with 1 hour for lunch.
