Job Title: Chef

Location: Beehive Honeysuckle, Newcastle.

About Us: At Beehive Honeysuckle, we’re excited to relaunch with our new kitchen bring a new standard to the harborside cafe. Our brand-new kitchen is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, and we’re looking for a passionate Chef to work within our kitchen team, craft extraordinary dishes, and create unforgettable dining experiences.

Position Overview: We are seeking an innovative and passionate Chef who is ready to take the work within our new kitchen. As a Chef, you will be responsible for kitchen operations, and working within a talented team of culinary professionals. If you have a flair for creativity, a commitment to quality, and a drive for excellence, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Menu Development: Continually refine a diverse and seasonal menu that highlights local ingredients and culinary trends.
Kitchen Operations: daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, quality control, and inventory management.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and train kitchen staff to ensure high standards of performance, hygiene, and efficiency.
Quality Control: Ensure every dish meets the highest standards of presentation, taste, and consistency.
Safety & Hygiene: Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organized work environment, we have 5 stars and wish to stay there.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Chef
Culinary skills with a creative approach to food and presentation.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Expertise in menu planning, food costing, and inventory control.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
