As a Health & Security Assistant (Wardsperson) you will be responsible for providing support across the hospital, working seven ( days a week 24-hour rotating roster. The Health & Security Assistant (Wardsperson) will provide non-clinical care to a variety of areas, including but not limited to:

To assist nursing staff in patient care
To transport patients for admissions and discharge
To attend all emergency codes and mortuary duties
To assist security staff in code black situations
To be on call for cleaning of discharge beds as required on night duty
To attend to ICU on night work, weekends and public holidays or when there are no ICU Technicians available

Rotating roster works 8-hour shifts over a 24/7 period. The shift times are:
Day shift - 0600 - 1400
Afternoon shift -1400 - 2200
Night shift - 2200 - 0600

What you bring

Current NSW Security Licence.
Senior First Aid Certificate.
Previous experience working in the support services area in a health care environment.
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.

Positions available: Temporary (six months) Full-Time and Part-Time (7 days 24-hour rotating roster)

Salary Classification: Health and Security Assistant

Remuneration: $33.39 per hour + shift penalties + allowances
